FUNCTIONS
- Facilitate the recruitment, selection, appointment, promotion, transfer, discipline and retirement of Public Servants.
- Administer leave requests (maternity, vacation, no-pay, leave of absence, secondment).
- Ensure that officers are appointed or promoted in accordance with established policies.
- Administer the performance appraisal process.
- Administer compensation.
- Prepare clearly outlined Terms and Conditions of Employment.
- Provide counseling to officers who are not performing at the required standard.
- Provide general employment counseling.
- Monitor and evaluate performance in order to improve personal and professional development.
- Periodically update the policies, regulations and procedures of the Public Service as they relate to personnel administration.
